If you only hit one Chicago con all year, make it C2E2. It’s happening March 27–29, 2026 at McCormick Place, which is downtown Chicago’s giant convention hub. Comics, anime, movies, video games, and cosplay—it’s got it all.
Getting Here – You can fly into either O’Hare (ORD) or Midway (MDW). Both are solid, but O’Hare’s usually easier if you’re staying near downtown. The CTA Green Line drops you close to McCormick, and Ubers are everywhere.
Where to Stay – Hyatt Regency McCormick Place is literally attached to the convention center, which is a lifesaver when you’re lugging around costumes. Marriott Marquis is right there too with insane views of the skyline. Home2 Suites is a more chill option that’s also connected by skybridge.
Cosplay Highlights – This con is home to the Crown Championships of Cosplay, which is basically the Olympics for costumers. You’ll also catch celeb panels, big-name guests, and a ton of cosplay meetups. Whether you’re rocking a casual fit or going full armor build, this is where you’ll want to show out.
Insider Tip – Parking near McCormick is rough. If you can, stay downtown and walk/CTA it in.
